martingale collar sizing includes small in five eights inch wide webbing for a neck of 9 inches to 12 inches with a 3 inch loop. Medium size in five eights inch webbing for a neck of 12 to 17 inches with a 4 inch loop. One inch wide webbing collars for medium size neck of 12 inches to 17 inches and a four inch loop. Large size for a neck of 14 to 24 inches and a 5 inch loop. Extra large in 1 inch wide webbing for a neck measurement 19 inches to 28 inches and a loop of 6 inches.
Measuring for your Collar: Measure your dog’s neck where the collar will comfortably sit when not tightened. Measure the largest part of your dog’s head. Subtract #1 from #2 and refer to the Loop Length in the Size Chart - if the size difference between your dog’s neck measurement and head measurement is equal to or greater than the Loop Length, please select a Martingale Buckle Collar instead.  If your neck measurement is at the top end of the size range, please select the next size up, or contact me

This Martingale Collar design is a trusted solution for dogs that easily slip out of standard collars.

The martingale loop gently tightens when tension is applied, without choking. Limited cinch collars offer reliable control while keeping your dog comfortable.

Ideal as a walking collar or a secure backup to a harness. Escape resistant collars help prevent your dog from backing out of  their collar during walks or training.

Choose from ⅝” or 1” wide webbing in your dog’s size and color. Need something wider? We also offer slip-on martingale collars in 1-½” wide webbing in an alternate listing.

Martingale collars should not be used as a tie-out collar and should be removed when dogs are unattended or during play with other dogs.

For dogs that pull or lunge, select a wider width webbing to more evenly distribute the force at their neck. (we recommend "Y"-front harnesses whenever possible for dogs that pull or lunge)

  • 5/8" wide webbing is recommended for small and medium sized dogs.
  • 1" wide webbing is recommended for medium sized dogs who tend to pull, as well as large dogs.

We also make 1-1/2" wide webbing collars for large dogs who pull and extra large dogs.
